The Gift

In the beginning was the Word
The Word was with God
The Word was God The Word became flesh
And dwelt among us
For to us a Child is born
To us a son is given
He's called Wonderful, Counselor
Mighty God
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace He was despised
Rejected
A man of grief
Familiar with pain Pierced for our transgressions
Crushed for our sins
We are healed by His wounds Christ died for our sins
He was buried and raised again
On the third day
Just as the Scriptures said Our Lord God Almighty reigns
He will reign forever and ever
King of Kings, Lord of Lords Hallelujah!
